RPE Half Mask Face Fitting / Dust Management
Overview: Face Fit
This aspect of the course covers face fit testing for half mask or a filtering facepiece (commonly referred to as a disposable mask).
Fit testing is a method of checking that a tight-fitting facepiece matches the wearer’s facial features and seals to their face correctly. It is vital to ensure that the protective mask you wear is suitable for your face profile in order to protect you against harmful airborne substances.
Delegates will receive:
An explanation of the need for fit testing
An explanation of the procedures involved in fit testing
Tips and training on getting the best fit with RPE
A fit test of a suitable mask
Upon completion of the course, candidates will receive an RPE Face Fitting certificate.
Overview: Dust Management
This aspect of the training course aims to provide candidates with the knowledge to prevent or adequately control construction dust risks on a construction site.
Delegates will gain an understanding of:
The different types of dust, where those are found and what effects they can have
The health risks that can occur due to inhalation of dust
The relevant legislation
How to assess the risk of dust exposure
How to review methods of risk control
The PPE/RPE that is required
Certification for this course is valid for 3 years. To remain certified, delegates will need to retake the course before the expiry date.

This course is half a day in duration.

To attend this course you are required to have completed a short pre-requisite quiz, this will be distributed to you prior to the course start date. Please bring a form of photo identification on the day of your training course. Please also inform the Greenlight team of any allergies/preferences, as lunch will be provided.
