Working at Height and Harness Safety Course

Overview

The course provides information and training for individuals and organisations to understand the numerous risks associated with working at height and using safety harnesses.

Gain an understanding of:

-          Definition of Work at Height

-          Definition of a competent person

-          The fall protection hierarchy

-          Collective and personal protective measures

-          Recognising dangerous situations

-          The relevant health and safety regulations

-          Pre-use checks and how to maintain a harness and lanyard

-          How to correctly fit and use a harness and lanyard

-          The different types of anchor point

-          The need for rescue after an arrested fall and the first aid response

Certification for this course is valid for 3 years. To remain certified, delegates will need to retake the course before the expiry date.

Key Information

  • This course is half a day in duration.

  • This course has no pre-requisites. Please bring a form of photo identification on the day of your training course.

  • £60 per person can be claimed back via the CITB ATO. This can also be included in a Skills & Training Fund.
